INSTALLATION: 1. Make sure the wall is clean and dry. 2. Mark the wall, as the self-adhesive cannot be re-stuck, so please make sure it is positioned correctly on the first try. 3. No drill, just simply peel the adhesive and stick it on the wall. 4. Press the adhesive parts hard for 30 seconds to ensure it sticks firmly. 5. Wait 24 hours before hanging objects on it.

That's because the adhesive is very sticky, and if you stick it on a painted wall or wallpaper, it'll peel off the wall surfaces and then fall off. Some customers said they used it on a painted wall, and it did the job, but that depends on the painted wall itself, and the lifetime may not be as long as other surfaces like Marble Tiles, Solid Wood Surfaces, Smooth Metal Surfaces, and Glass Surfaces.
